What we have heard of Casino Myths?

If you are doing research, you know that many assumptions about casinos are nothing more than urban myths.

There is also illegal thougts - many people claim that casinos add extra oxygen to their air conditioning in order to make their players livelier and less sleep to keep them gambling. This would be illegal and there has never been any evidence to prove otherwise.

Casinos have no memory of the dice roll, roulette wheel spin or deal of cards that has gone before. However, many are prone to believing otherwise. The best example of this is the ‘cold table,’ a table which never allows players to win, or always takes money in record time. Nothing but a myth. Different players could easily see the same game and consider it to be ‘hot,’ always giving them an extra win.

There’s also no memory in a slot machine which shows that it might be due a win. If you walk away and the next player hits a big jackpot, there is no reason to think that it “could have been yours.”

Slots myths also include believing in remote control reduction of your winnings. False.  There may be some central control mechanism, but even then only the smallest change to the house edge would be possible. Similarly, remote controlled roulette wheels do not exist.

Many people believe that counting cards in Blackjack is against the law. This is incorrect as there’s nothing stopping you from sitting in any Blackjack game and counting the cards using any long list of systems. Generally, the casino might ask you to leave, or possibly charge you with trespassing if you return.
